Having had a mini conversation about this article on LinkedIn: The microchip implants that let you pay with your hand - BBC News, h/t Ewen, I joked that this tech is perfect for women whose clothes don’t have pockets. But it’s also worthy of a bit more discussion.
It also reminds me of the classic 1970s TV show The Bionic Woman (see also The Six Million Dollar Man. Does $6M sound cheap or is it still expensive, I can’t decide?). I had an excellent toy with a roll-up rubber sleeve that revealed all the bionics.

What’s a potential use case? What needs to be true for this to be easier than the alternative?
And if you were a criminal, how would you exploit this technology?
